The program supports audio files in the following formats: WAV, MP3, MP2, WMA, OGG, MPC, WAW, AIF, and .CDA CD audio tracks.
When it comes to recording options, you can specify the device supplying the audio, eliminate silences, establish a schedule to start recording, and access the Windows sound options.
On the editing side, you can use Free Audio Editor to do small things like cut, splice, and mix songs, but you can also take advantage of more advanced tools to normalize the sound, reduce noise, add echo and reverb, and much, much more.
The program also allows you to edit ID3 tags, burn audio CDs, rip CDs, and convert files between different formats.
The free version won't let you save your files in MP3 or OGG format.
